Mary Anne Stewart, age 85, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2018.
Mary Anne was born and raised in Old New Castle, DE and was a graduate of St. Peter's High School, class of 1950. She married her first love, Jim, in 1957. She went on to work for DuPont, retiring after 36 years as the secretary to the executive vice president of the International Department.
Mary Anne loved traveling and spending time at the beach. She also loved antiques, especially vintage hair receivers. Her most treasured time was spent with her family.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Foster. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jim; sister, Margaret (Freebery) Loureiro; brother, John Freebery, of Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews especially, Dyonne (Brian), Brittany (Jon), Dana, Heather, Theresa, Mikayla, Samara and Stevie,
Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 521 Harmony St, New Castle, DE 19720, on Tuesday, May 22 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Glebe Cemetery
