Melissa Rae Haver, age 58, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2023.

Missy was born in Wilmington on January 23, 1965. She was the daughter of Raymond and Catherine Haver.

Missy was raised by Catherine and her second husband, Jim Kelly. She graduated from Delcastle High School, where she studied cosmetology. She worked for the City of Wilmington, and most recently was employed by Westover Companies.

Missy was a very giving person. She loved helping others, especially seniors. Over the years, she cared for many family members and neighbors. And, in her death, she helped many others as an organ donor.

Her loving presence will be missed most by her family.

She is survived by her life partner, Frank Ruggerio; her son, Frank Ruggerio, II, and his girlfriend, Alexandria Lombardo; and her grandson, Frankie Ruggerio, III, whom she adored.

All services for Missy will be held privately.
