Age 92 of Wilmington, DE
Passed away Friday, March 5, 2021.
Meredith was born in Milford, Delaware to the late John and Effie Mae (Hall) Dukes.
In 1955, Meredith married the love of her life, Bill Higman. They spent 62 happy years together raising a family. She was a dedicated homemaker and took great pride in her care of her husband and children. Meredith was happiest when she was with her family. Meredith was also a devout Catholic. She was a member of the Holy Rosary prayer group for over 30 years and their leader for 10. She also enjoyed sharing her faith with others. She was taught CCD classes at Corpus Christi Church for many years.
Meredith was preceded in death by her husband, James William "Bill" Higman.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Bruce Higman and his wife, Diane, and Leslie Higman; her five grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Amanda, Jonathan, and David; and her 7 great grandchildren. Meredith is also survived by her niece, Doris Marsilli and her husband, Bill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Meredith on Thursday, March 11 at 1:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00noon-1pm. Meredith Higman
