Michael R. Trincia, Sr.
"Mike"
At age 52, of Newark, Mike passed away suddenly on June 9, 2013.
Mike was a talented master carpenter and owned his own business, fabricating everything from trade show and museum exhibits to the stage used at the presidential inaugural ball. Mike had such a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved to play guitar as his wife sang for audiences at parties or paid events. He also loved bass fishing with his brothers, nieces and nephews, and always bragged about catching the biggest one!
Mike was an eternal optimist, was very driven to succeed at whatever he did and was always the life of a party. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, friend and fellow musician. Mike made this world a better place and he will be so missed by his family and friend. He was taken from us much too early.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Earl F. Trincia Jr.; and his niece, Sarah Elizabeth. Mike is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Ellie; their children, Earl F. (Alex Magee), Michael Jr. (Carol Chapman), and Stephanie Scott (Tim Wyatt); six grandchildren, Kimi, Cheyenne,
Bella,
James,
Bentley, and
Mason; his mother, Ruth G. Trincia; his brothers, Richard L. of Bear, Carl F. and his wife Linda of Middletown, and Nicholas F. of Wilmington; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10:30 am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5-8 pm. Interment will be private.
In honor of Mike's fun loving nature, if you plan to attend the viewing or funeral to celebrate Mike's life, the family requests that everyone wear clothes they are most comfortable in, preferably jeans, tee-shirts, shorts, etc.
In lieu of flowers, we believe Mike would want to honor his father's recent passing by requesting donations made in his name, Earl F. Trincia, Jr., to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001, or online at http://www.alzfdn.org/.
