Cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on November 30, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.
A life-long Delaware resident, Michael was born in Wilmington on July 5, 1953 and was the loving son of Michael John (DiGuglielmo) Williams, Sr. and Teresa (Biscoe). He was a devoted husband and will be dearly missed by his wife of 33 years, Nancy. He was the rock to his three daughters, Lauren Benedetto, Jennifer McFarland (Dan), Heather Bright (Anthony), and the beloved Pop-Pop to his grandchildren, Logan, Dominic, Lexi, Ava, Bradley, and Lily. He is survived by his loving brother, Robert, and sister Patricia Schofield (Chip) and many nieces and nephew. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Doris Rigler, his brother-in-law, Ricky Rigler, and his son-in-law, Brad Benedetto.
He treasured time with his family and friends and valued family traditions. He was an active member of Defiance A.A. and the Prince of Piedmont, and he enjoyed his Saturday mornings at Mulrooney's. A 1971 graduate of Salesianum, Michael worked for Agilent Technologies for 36 years. Michael was a passionate baseball fan and played for the Brandywine semi-pro baseball team, among other leagues, and enjoyed coaching his daughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family on Thursday, December 3, from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805. Services immediately following. Burial will be at Cathedral Cemetery.
