Age 88, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2014.

Mildred was a wonderful person and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

During the 1930's to the early 1950's, she was a featured vocalist and tap dancer in numerous shows in Wilmington, DE. Mildred was also a featured vocalist on WILM Radio Station in the early 1940's. She had a promising career in singing, but her love of family was her main objective. Being a mother was her favorite role in life. She worked at the DuPont Company Treasurer's Dept. for 12 years. Mildred retired from the University of Delaware Career Planning and Placement Office, after 19 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Diffenderfer; and many friends and cousins.


Friends and family are invited to attend services for Mildred and her son, David Michael Diffenderfer, who departed on July 13, 2012.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 am.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
