Michelle A. Tafel (Givens)

Age 62 of New Castle

Passed away in her home on May 5, 2025.

Michelle was born on August 12, 1962, to James and Linda (Gaines) Givens.

Michelle was a loving and caring person. These personality traits made her an exceptional nurse. She was immensely proud of her 30 + year career as an ICU nurse. She made a difference in the lives of her patients and her family with her smile that would light up any room she entered. Michelle will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Givens, and lifelong partner, Donald Tafel.

In addition to her parents, Michelle is survived by her daughters, Kelli Cardona (Mark) and Ashley Tafel (Jerry); her grandchildren, Nathan, Adryanna, Isaiah, Jedediah, Judah, Malachi, and Amarie. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Givens (Laura), and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter the Apostle Church privately.
