Mildred (Millie) deStoppelaar
Of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 with family and friends at her bedside. She was 84. Best known for her ornery sense of humor, Millie loved to read, do crosswords, and enjoyed her occasional apple fritter with coffee.
Millie is survived by her two children, Alex Krajewski, and Carole Barnes (Don), 3 granddaughters, Kristine, Brittany, and Adrienne (Dave); and 4 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Governor Bacon Health Center whose quality care and love made Millie feel safe and comfortable. Thanks also to Vitas Hospice who made her last days pleasant and peaceful.
Service will be private.
