Obituary

Nancy Dolan Boudart
Age 86, died on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at her daughter Sally and son-in-law Dave Dryden's home in Wilmington after a long illness.
Born in Chester, PA to Katherine Anne McLaughlin and Lawrence Dolan , she graduated from St. Robert's Parochial School in Chester, and Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA.
Nancy was employed at Medford Packing and Metropolitan Life Insurance until the birth of her first child. She was married to Joseph A. Boudart for 32 years. After his death in 1980, she worked at The Vault and next in the Salesianum School Development Office for 15 years.

Nancy loved being a mother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and baker; pies were her specialty. She enjoyed decorating her home, sewing, and doing needlework. She was especially accomplished in entertaining her family and friends. She made giving parties for large groups seem easy. She was an active member of St. John the Beloved Church serving on the Altar Society and later in the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She made many good friends through the parish; she played bridge with the same group of parish friends for many years. She was a home room mother for all of her children's class rooms at both St. Peter's Cathedral School and later at St. John the Beloved School. She also served on the Board of Directors of Valleybrook Swim Club. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels with her good friend Sara Miller for many years. Her hobbies included listening to WOR radio, sewing and reading. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Europe and Mexico. After his death, her daughter, Sally, became her traveling companion on many marvelous trips to Italy, France, Germany, England, Scotland, and Ireland. She enjoyed spending the entire summer at her home in Ocean City, NJ with her children and their families as well as her two sisters and their families.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kate Fuchs (John), Mimi Boudart (Don Callender), Sally Dryden (Dave), Chris (Jennifer), and Jim (Nicole); her eleven grandchildren are: Anne Secaras (Jerame), Mary Fuchs (Mike Rispoli), Sam & Joe Callender, Wade & Adam Dryden, Sarah, Rachel & Paul Boudart, and Conor and Celia Boudart. She is also survived by her sister, Sally Mack; her brother-in-law, Prosper Boudart (Ursula); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Garvey.

Her family wishes to give special thanks to Sally, Dave, Wade, and Adam Dryden for providing their Mother and Grandmother with such wonderful care for the last 4 years in their home.
