Nellie Regina Parkes (Nan-Nan), age 94 went to be with her Lord on the morning of July 1st 2017, at her home in Hacks Point, MD with her family by her side.

Nellie lived between PA and MD - Upland, Trainer, - Elkton, Earleville, "Hacks Point", and attended Clayton Elementary in Trainer PA as a child. In the 1940'S, Nellie met Harley Joseph Parkes on a blind date. They married and spent many happy years together.

Nellie was dedicated to her Lord and Savior. She loved to read scripture and listen to her gospel. She was a collector of many different things, and loved going to Booths Corners, what she called the "sale".

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Hickey; brothers, Arthur and William; sisters, Violet and Evelyn Hickey; and her son, Harley Parkes.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Rhoades; son, Tim Parkes; as well as her grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many niece and nephews.

We will be celebrating Nellie's life with a Service that will be held on Saturday July 15th at 11:00 am at the Bohemia Wesleyan Church, 3056 Augustine Herman Hwy. Chesapeake City MD 21915 (RT 213).
