Nicholas H. Lingo, 31, of Wilmington, was tragically taken from this world on Thursday, December. 5, 2013, after being struck by a car on Limestone Road on December 4.
Nick leaves behind his wife, Kristy, and his whole world, his reasons for existing, his daughters, Aryanna and Jade, and his son, Aldon. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Peggy Lingo and Chris Kara-Eneff of Hockessin, DE; his father and stepmother, Larry and Gale Lingo of Essex, MD; his brothers, Justin Lingo, Philip Kara-Eneff, and David Kara Eneff of Wilmington; his stepsister, Dawn Buhl, of MD. He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Audrey Lingo, of Wilmington, and his maternal grandmother, Eileen Handlin.
Nick was an accomplished barber in Wilmington for the past ten years. He enjoyed weekends in Dewey Beach with his family and golf and Kings Creek Country Club. His short years were consumed with taking care of everyone, and he had a heart as big as life itself. Because of this, all his organs were donated to the Gift of Life Donor Program.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere, on Wednesday, December 11, at 12:30 pm. Visitation will take place at Corpus Christi Church from 9:30-12:30 on Wednesday. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lingo Children Educational Fund, c/o WSFS, 4730 Limestone Road, Wilm., DE 19808.
