Norman A. CAsper
Age 81 of Wilmington, DE
Passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Thursday, January 14, 2016.
Norman was a graduate of Salesianum School in Wilmington, DE. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Norman completed his basic training at Paris Island, North Carolina. He was a dedicate marine who served overseas during the Korean War, as well as being stationed in Alaska for a period of time.
After his time in the service, Norman became a Merchant Marine. He worked in the radio room on many different cargo ships. Norman was also employed by Getty Security for a number of years.
In his spare time Norman loved to exercise. He was always dedicated to health and fitness. Norman was a Karate instructor where he put his knowledge of fitness and the body to good work.
Norman will be dearly missed by his sisters, Frances Casper Freid, of Wilmington, DE, Mary Ann Casper Leski (Francis), of Wilmington, DE, and Anna Casper Bravo (Alex), of California. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service for Norman on Tuesday, Jan 26 at 10:00am at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
