Obituary

Orazio J. Arcidiacono, Jr. passed away on Thursday, July 9 at Christiana Hospital.

Orazio served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. He went on to work for GM for 30 years until his retirement.

He was a parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Church in New Castle and was an active charter member of the Shawtown St. Anthony's Club.

Orazio enjoyed visiting the St. Anthony's Club and playing shuffleboard as well as trying his luck at the casino's at Dover Downs. He enjoyed being outdoors watching the birds and walking around his neighborhood, socializing with his neighbors. Orazio also took great pride in taking care of his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Assunta and Rose (his mothers) and Orazio Arcidiacono, and his brothers, Salvatore, Joseph and Angelo.

Orazio is survived by his brother, Louis of New Castle, and his many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 16 at 12 noon at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5th and Harmony Streets, New Castle, DE. A viewing will be held at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 West 6th Street, New Castle from 10-11:30 am. Interment will be on Monday, July 20 at 11:00 am at Delaware Veterans Memorial Park, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd. Bear, DE.
