Patricia A. Handlin, of Newark, DE, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at age 68.

Pat was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Frances Wronowicz and Antoinette Fresconi. She was also preceded in death by her brother William Smith.

Patricia devoted her life to her family, caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandson. In her free time, she enjoyed digging in her garden, planting beautiful flowers and just sitting on her deck admiring the beauty of the birds.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Andrew; 3 daughters, Tammy A. and Christopher Lento, D. Renai Handlin and Michael Dutt, and Melissa A. Handlin; 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Angelo, Alexis, Alyssa, Andi, Alan and Michael; 1 great grandchild, Tyler; sister-in-law, Audrey Markel; 3 brothers, Ronald F. Wronowicz Sr. and Francine, Everette (Jimmy) Smith, and Patrick McClafferty and Paula; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Tuesday afternoon October 13th at 1 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
