Patricia Sue Miller
Age 75 of New Castle
Went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2016. She was a loving wife and mother. Patty was a giving woman and her smile and gentle nature will be missed by all who love her. She had a great love of family and everyone enjoyed sitting around her big table just to hear her laugh.
Over the years, the strength she exhibited through her illness amazed everyone. Her thoughts were always for others and she cared deeply for her family.
Patty was a lifelong resident of New Castle and retired from the Delaware River & Bay Authority. She was a current member of both the Sons of Italy – St. Gabriel's Lodge and St. Anthony's Club. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Delaware – Caesar Rodney Chapter 8 and Goodwill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin (Sparky) and Nellie (cheek) Bowen; her sister, Nancy Payton; and her brothers, Galen (Steve) and Jack Stevens
Patty will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert L. Miller, Sr.; her four children, Robert L. Miller, Jr. and wife, Leigh (Antonio), Patrick L. Miller and Gretchen, Timothy A. Miller, Michele A. Karpovich; her grandchildren, Robert L. Miller, III and wife Shannon (Aery), Ann Marie Miller and Tony Palmer, Jessica M. Karpovich and John J. Karpovich, III; and her great granddaughter, Madeline A. Miller
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Patty on Tuesday April 5 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 5th and Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720.Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle DE 19720, from 3:00-10:30am. Interment will be in the Glebe Cemetery
