IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Patton
May 24, 1934 – January 28, 2026
Patricia Ann Patton, aged 91, left this world peacefully on January 28, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on May 24, 1934, in Pennsylvania, Patricia, affectionately known as "Pat," was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for the many lives that crossed her path. From nurturing her family and friends to feeding any living creature in need, be it cats, dogs, foxes, raccoons, or birds. Pat embodied generosity and selflessness, always ready to lend a helping hand or a kind word. She was truly a "shirt off my back" type of person, forever pleasant, irrespective of the circumstances.
In her cherished hometown of Old New Castle, Delaware, where she first felt captivated during a visit in 1997, Pat found joy in the vibrance of community life, often planning her calendar around local festivals. Favorites included the May Market, delightful afternoons at Caroline's, lively chats with Gene Dempsey, and engaging discussions about local politics with friends. An avid reader, she devoured the Weekly news from cover to cover, delighting in the letters to the editor.
Pat's eclectic spirit shone through in her many collections throughout the years, from owls, cookbooks, and Hummels to glassware, Americana, and Beanie Babies. A lover of antique treasures and mystery novels, she also found joy in supporting animal rescues and her beloved greyhounds.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Susan Patton and Jane Patton, and honorary family member, Blair Lee, as well as cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Justin, Hunter, and Jillian. She is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed to share in her life.
In the spring, around Patty's birthday, relatives and friends will be invited to gather for a memorial luncheon. Patricia's life will be celebrated as we share memories and reflect on the profound impact she had on us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Patricia's memory to www.forgottencats.org, an organization close to her heart.
Rest in peace, dear Patricia. Your spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts.
