Patricia J. Stevenson (Moran)
Age 76 of New Castle, DE
Passed away early morning Sunday, June 20, 2021 after a long illness.
Patricia was born October 4, 1944, in Coaldale, PA. She was the first born to Marie (Firkal) and James Moran. She was 1963 graduate of De La Warr High School. While in high school she volunteered as a candy striper at the Delaware Division. Patricia liked to do many things. She held many job positions from banking to cosmetology to sales. Patricia was truly a jack of all trades. While she was out gaining life experiences, she met the love of her life, Thomas W. Stevenson, Jr. They fell in love and married April 16, 1966. A few years later they started a family. Along came Theresa Marie in 1970, Thomas III in 1976, and Andrew Michael in 1978. She enjoyed being a wife and mother, but nothing made her happier than her grandchildren. She loved them more than life itself. In addition to spending time with her family, Patricia had several hobbies. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, sewing, crocheting, needle point, and scrap booking. She also had larger than life love for Elvis Presley. She had all his albums and seen all of his movies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Moran.
Patricia will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years, Thomas W. Stevenson, Jr; her children, Theresa Marie Stevenson (Jeff), Thomas W. Stevenson, III, and Andrew M. Stevenson (April); her grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Zupon, Samantha Stevenson, Caleb Stevenson, and Brianna Wilson. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, two brothers, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Patricia on Monday, Jun 28, 2021, at 7:00pm at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th Street, New Castle, DE 19720. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Interment will be private.
