Paul A. "Mannie" Miller, Sr.
Age 94 of New Castle
Passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023.
Mannie was born and lived his life in Old New Castle. At the age of 16 he worked on the New Castle Pennsville Ferry. He served in the Army National Guard for several years. After his military service he was an auto mechanic for Quillen Ford for 30 years.
Mannie enjoyed listening to the Phillies and Eagles games on the radio. In his early years he entered his beagle dogs in field trials and was an avid rabbit hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Miller; wife, Jane Ann Miller; and his sister, Mary Jane Holcomb.
Mannie is survived by his sons, Paul Jr (Susan), Preston, and Ben (Lorma); granddaughter, Tara (Rob); grandson, Paul III (Adrienne); four great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Parks.
The family is grateful to friends, relatives, and especially Accent Hospice at Christiana Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff.
All services for Mannie will be held privately.
