Peter F. Octavio
"Chalky"
Age 82, died peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Sunday, April 24, 2011 surrounded by his family.
Chalky was an accomplished and successful businessman for most of his life. He mastered many crafts and trades including carpentry, brick and masonry. He owned the Heart Break Hotel in Bowers Beach for over 15 years. He was very proud of his retail store "Chalky's Retail" in New Castle. He also worked for the Board of Water and Light in New Castle. Chalky was one of the first people to sell and install TV antennas. He was also a well respected thoroughbred horse owner and trainer. His most successful horse was his favorite Rocky Glow. He always loved the track.
Chalky was the son of the late Peter F. and Elizabeth M. (Susi) Octavio. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph J. "G.I." Octavio. He is survived by his sisters, Josephine R. Clark, and Geraldine P. Turner; his brothers, Louis M. Octavio and Robert J. Octavio; and many nieces and nephews. Chalky was very devoted to his niece, Sophia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle, on Thursday, April 28th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
