Raymond E. Silva, Jr
Age 49 of Wilmington
Passed away suddenly at home on April 13, 2022.
Ray was born and raised in West Chester, PA and was a graduate of Avon Grove High School. After graduation Ray worked at Chrysler until its close and later Home Depot until his passing.
Ray was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren were his whole world, and Ray enjoyed nothing more that playing with them. He also loved music, so much so that his nickname was Juke Box.
Although Ray struggled with addiction, he was most proud of over coming his demons and his years of sobriety.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 30 years, Melissa Fagen Silva; his daughter, Alexa Silva; his grandchildren, Aryanna Rivera, Juaquin Rivera, and David Soto; his parents, Raymond and Rose Silva; his brother, Bryan Silva and his wife, Mary; and a host of nieces and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Ray on Sat, Apr 30 at 3:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Interment will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to be made to the funeral home to help defer the cost of Ray's services.
