Reba Lee Wilson
86 of Wilmington and Long Neck
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 8, 2016. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Elizabeth (Holden) and Riley Box.
Reba worked in retail for 55 years, retiring at the age of 72. Her favorite employer was John Wanamaker, where she worked in the book and candy departments.
Reba was a life member of Five Points Fire Co. She loved all animals, camping trips, country music, and her time at the beach.
On New Year's Day 1949 she married Walt Wilson after dating for only 3 months. They shared 65 years together until his death in January of 2014. Also preceding her in death are her sister, Billie, and brother in law, Virgil Pate.
Reba will be dearly missed by daughters, Sula Wilson-Looney and husband, Bob, and Sherry Wilson; her grandchildren, Robby Looney, Lukas Wilson, and Ronni Lynn Wilson. She is also survived by her rescue dog Scooter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Reba on Thursday, April 14 at 11:30 am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30-11:30am. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Reba's name to Five Points Fire Co., 209 S. Maryland Ave. Wilm. 19804, or Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr. Wilm. 19804.
