Richard Eugene Marcozzi
Age 71 of New Castle, Delaware passed away surrounded by family on Monday, February 13, 2012.
He spent time in the National Guard and retired from a long career at IBM. He stayed active, walking every day, travelling, and going to every U of D football game home and away.
Richard was the son of the late Emidio and Rita A. Marcozzi. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Emidio T., Robert W., James P., Connie L. Gillespie, and Norma R. Hitchcock. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Betty P. Marcozzi; his son, Richard E.; his sister, Diana M. McHenry; his loving nieces and nephews; and his extended family. He will also be missed by his many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11 am. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 am Saturday morning. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Smithsonian Institute, P.O. Box 37012, SI Bldg. Room 153 MRC 010, Washington, DC 20013-7012, or a charity of your choice.
