Richard M. Kieffner, Sr.

Age 78, went to Jesus peacefully on Sunday., January 24, 2010, at Heartland Hospice, Wilmington, DE.

Richard served in the United States Air Force, and was a proud veteran of the Korean War. He was self-employed as a carpenter for many years, and then worked for Capano & Sons until his retirement.

He was the son of the late Andrew and Mae (Bauer) Kieffner. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Adele (Kresser) Kieffner, in 2006; and his brother, Leo Kieffner. He is survived by his son, Richard Kieffner, Jr., and his wife, Susan, of Claymont, DE; his daughters, Deborah Hearn, and her husband, Ed, of Claymont, DE, and Janet Kieffner, of Wilmington, DE; his brother, Raymond and his wife Deloris, of Loogootee, IN; his sister, Lilan Block, of Jasper, IN; his sister-in-law, Betty Kieffner of Jasper, IN; his grandchildren, Edward, Michael, Kristen, Kelli, and Andrew; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and fiends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Sat., Feb., 6, at 1:00 pm at United Methodist Church of Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE.

Interment will be private.
