Robert B. Dayett

Age 82, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at home in Elsmere, DE.

Bob served in the Navy as a Seabee during WWII.

He retired as a car salesman for Winner Ford in 1992.

Bob was a life member of the Elsmere Fire Co., and a member of the Delaware State Fire Police Association. He was a member of Corpus Christi R. C. Church. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed all sports.

Bob was the son of the late Brownelle and Anna (Smack) Dayett. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Brownelle Dayett, and his sister, Marjorie Chason. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sadie (Marra); sons, Robert L. and his wife Karol Lynn, and Charles R.; two grandchildren, Christopher F. and Jacquelyn M.; special nephew, Michael Chason; and many other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere on Monday, June 1st at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Sunday evening May 31st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
