Robert Raymond Olliver
"Bob"

Age 84, of Marydel, DE, died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Christiana Hospital.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He was a lifetime member of the Robbins Hose Company.

After retiring from Green Giant in 1978, he and Betty went into motel and property management for the next thirty years throughout the South.

Returning to Delaware in 2008, they have been residing in New Castle and attended the Holy Spirit R. C. Church.

Bob is the son of the late Fred and Catherine (Zauss) Olliver. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty J. Hunter; his children, John and his wife Kay, Linda Jenkins, Mary Brooke Smith, and Michael and his wife Gina; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Bob was one of 12 children and is survived by his sisters, Verna, Irene, and brother, Donald.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit R. C. Church, 12 Winder Rd., New Castle on Thursday morning, August 6th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Krienen Funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Interment is private at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to Holy Spirit R. C. Church.
