Roger Clark, age 88, of New Castle, died on October 13th. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan to John and Dorothea Clark. Roger was raised in Bronxville, New York and graduated from Colgate University. For many years he served on the board of the Colgate University Alumni Corporation and was acknowledged for his "dedication, generosity, and loyalty" to the University.


Roger moved to Delaware in 1976 to accept a position with the DuPont Company in the Advertising Department. After retiring from DuPont, he worked for Delaware Hospice for several years where he focused on fundraising and public relations. Roger also served as a volunteer on numerous boards of non-profit organizations throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed attending Osher Lifelong Learning of the University of Delaware.


Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Christian Clark. He is survived by his wife, Claire, daughter, Karen Salinas (Matt Pummill), and son, Stephen Clark (Claudia) and their respective families including grandchildren, Andres, Alex and Sara Salinas and Leandro and Michelle Clark.
Also surviving are Roger's stepchildren, Joe Fitzpatrick (Deanna), Kate Fitzpatrick (Jeff Purcell), and Maggie Fitzpatrick (Mary McBride) and step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Kelsey Fitzpatrick, as well as his nephew, John Roger Coffin (Maureen).


Burial will be private and a celebration of Roger's life is planned for a later date.
