Obituary

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Tommy was born and raised in New Castle. He was a 1989 graduate of Delcastle High School. In his younger years Tommy was a volunteer fire fighter with Minquadale Fire Company. He was very proud of his 35-year career as a small engine mechanic for Suburban Lawn Equipment.
He was a diehard Yankees Baseball fan and loved watching all kinds of sports. Tommy was known as a foodie to his friends and family and was always excited to try a new restaurant. He also enjoyed music and loved to change the lyrics. For many years, Tommy played pool on Budmeisters. Tommy was a loving son, husband, father, and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Ford, Sr.
Tommy is survived by his wife, of 26 years, Michele Butler Ford; his daughter, Madison Marie Ford; his mother, Beverly Ford; his sister, Tammy Ford; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. He is also survived by his dog, Jingle, and beloved cat Archibald
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Tommy at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, De 19720, on Monday, May 9, at 12:30pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am-12:00pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Tommy's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford DE 19963
