Ronald P. Makowsky
Of New Castle, formerly of Newark, Delaware entered eternal rest December 4, 2013 at age 52 after courageously battling a long illness. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Ron loved the outdoors and nature. He spent a great deal of time at the beach boating and fishing and was an avid hunter and motorcyclist. Ron graduated from Glasgow High School in 1979 and then served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an Engineer Technician for Dow Chemical (formerly Rohm & Haas and Rodel) for nearly 30 years.
He was a devoted husband and father. Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Rhonda; stepson, Brendon Davis; stepdaughter, Lauren Constance Bentley; grandson, Tyler Bentley Freidly; mother, Ingrid Makowsky; father, Paul Makowsky; brothers, Steven and Brian Makowsky; sister, Tracy Lisiecki; nieces, Haley Lisiecki and Stephany Makowsky; father and mother-in-law, J. Stewart and Brenda Constance; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Seiber and Kendra Constance; nieces and nephews, Vincent DeLillio, Tristan, Mackenzie, Garrett, Logan, Ella and Cayden Seiber.
Rev. Bruce Martin, Pastor of Cavalry Baptist Church, Newark, Delaware, will officiate at the Funeral Service. Services will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, Delaware, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1 pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment following will be private.
