Ronald J. Swarter age 71 passed away at home on October 22, 2022.

Ron was born on May 22, 1951 in Wilmington, DE. He was the son of the late Francis A. (Harpo) and Emma Oleita Swarter. Ron worked for many years in the electrical industry at various instrument shops. Ron later fulfilled his passion to work with animals by becoming the first Kennel Manager at Windcrest Animal Hospital. He ended his career with the State of Delaware, working as an Accounting Specialist with the Division of Revenue.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman E. Dorney and Lester S. Dorney; brother-in-law, Thomas Chew; and sister-in-law, Mary Dorney.

He is survived by his sister, Frances Chew of Elsmere; nephew, Christopher F. Chew and his wife, Michele of Wilmington; sister-in-law; Hazel Dorney of Street, MD; and his friend and ex-wife, Della Z. Swarter of Wilmington; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 29 at 9:30am at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd. Wilmington, DE. Interment will be private.
