Roy R. Cyr

Age 84, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Care.

Roy was born in St. David, ME. He moved to Delaware in 1949 and married the love of his life, Martha, on June 7, 1951. After a career as a tree surgeon, he retired in 1994 as general manager of Atlantic States Tree Experts.

He was a long-time member of Corpus Christi R. C. Church. He enjoyed woodworking especially building furniture for family and friends, and his garden was his personal joy.

Roy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Cyr; his children, Linda McMichael (Dave), Kathy Cornette (Jim Ellis), Raymond Cyr (Fran); 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
