Obituary

Sadie Flora Fell Jackson

Age 97, died June 25, 2013 at Season's Hospice at Christiana Hospital in Newark.

Sadie retired from the DuPont Company Medical Department in Wilmington.

She was a member of St. Mark's Methodist Church. She and Leighton enjoyed singing in the choir. She did civilian volunteer during WWII. She also volunteered at the Charis House. She attended organ recitals at Dickinson High School. Sadie won a silver medal from Arthur Murray Dance Studios. She went on many cruises including all five of the Queen Cruise Ships. She did crafts and excelled in each one through sheer determination.

Sadie was the daughter of the late, Lily Booth Fell and Richard S. Fell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leighton; her brothers, Richard R. Fell, and Carl W. Fell; and her nephew, Richard B. Fell. She is survived by children of Carl: niece, Carol A. Jarman of Nottingham, PA, nephew, Kenneth W. Fell of Christiana, PA, and nephew, Barry P. Fell of Upper St. Clair, PA. She is also survived by daughter of Richard Fell: niece, Margaret "Pixie" Fell. Sadie is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great- great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 pm on Monday afternoon. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
