Obituary

Samuel John Barresi, Sr.
Age 74 of Elsmere
Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Sam was born and raised in Jamestown, New York. He was a proud graduate of St. James High School, where he excelled as a football player. After graduating, Sam joined the U.S Army and faithfully served his country for three years. On May 23, 1970, Sam married the love of his life, Bernadette Kaluzny. Together they lived in Elsmere and raised their family. Sam worked as a bank teller and later was promoted to bank manager at PNC bank where he spent most of his career. Sam loved to play softball, watch live horse racing, and play golf. He was always happy to support a good cause and loved to play in many local golf tournaments. Sam will be remembered most as a kind man who loved his family above all things. He was an outstanding husband, father, Poppop, and great grandfather.
Sam was preceded in death by his daughter, Angelíque, and his sister, Joann Lamarco.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Bernadette Barresi; his son, Sam Barresi Jr; his granddaughters, Gabrielle and Katelynn; and great grandson, Rhett. Sam is also survived by his sisters, Sandy Jones and Betty Meyers, and his brother-in-law, Joey Kaluzny.
