Passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Friday, July 29, 2016 with her family at her side.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Breisch) Carson.

Sallie was employed by Sears and retired after 22 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Loyal Orange Ladies institution for over 60 years and had served the organization in many capacities.

Sallie will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Walter C. Wilson; her three daughters, Leigh Perillo (Bill) of Wilmington, Elizabeth Wagner (Tom) of Wilmington, and Lynn Wilson of Germantown, MD; and her son, Charles J. Wilson of Wilmington. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of Christiana Hospital, especially Dr. Warsal, for their kindness and care of Sallie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Sallie at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Thursday, August 4 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00am -12:00 noon. Interment will be held in Silverbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Sallie's name to the American Cancer Society , 92 Reads Way # 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
