SHIRLEY A. DILL

Age 84, of New Castle, DE, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 30, 2010, in the presence of her Loving Daughter.

Shirley was a Supervisor at Wiltex Co., a Wilmington clothing manufacturer, for ~32 years.

Shirley was a fabulous dancer, tap dancing in her younger years, and thereafter many enjoyed watching her jitter-bug. In younger years she also did acrobatics with family members. Shirley enjoyed relaxing and walking on the beach, reading, and especially traveling the world.

A Wonderful Mother, she will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law with whom she lived, Cheryl & Lou Cicamore; sons, Fred Johnson and Justin Carpenter; grandchildren, Kassia, Michelle (Rich), Louie (Christina), Jennifer, Christopher, Sean; great-grandchildren, Nate, Izabella, Jake, Tanner, Christopher, Brayden and Piper; sisters-in-law, Dolores and Betty Phillips; and Best Friend & Special Love, John Deardorff.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Tom Johnson; husbands, John Dill and Ed Johnson; parents, Erwin and Harriett Phillips; brothers, Fred, Burt, Bill, and Joe Phillips; and sisters, Gladys Phillips & Harriett Floyd.

A "Special Thank You" to the staffs of DE Hospice and WADCC for their Loving Care and Compassion to our Mother during her last year.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, North DuPont Pkwy., New Castle on Saturday, June 19 th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Gracelawn Chapel from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
