Obituary

Silvius Joseph (Indy) Indellini

Age of 86, passed away to a better place, with his family at his side.

Indy was born on Dec. 20, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA with a twin brother. He honored his country as a United States Navy Seabee. He worked for Rheem Manufacturing Company in New Castle, DE making heaters until the company closed and moved to Kalamazoo, MI. He worked for Pierce Crompton and retired from Concord Plaza after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Jean Indellini, after 54 years of marriage. He is survived by three children, Maryann Weir (Phil Sr.) of Wilmington, Nancy Shields (Charles) of Lewes, DE, and Theresa Dougherty (Al III) of Estero, FL; his grandchildren, Harry Weir (Melanie) of Wilmington, Phil Weir, Jr. (Jaime), of Wilmington, Gerry Shields of Lewes, DE, A.P. Dougherty IV (Rachel), and Lauren Dougherty of Estero, FL; his great-grandchildren, Pattie Weir of PA, Zachary and Melissa Weir of Wilmington, Sean Marich of Marshallton, DE, Katelyn Shields, and a great-grandchild on the way. Theresa was his caregiver for the past few years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A viewing will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 34 West 6th Street, New Castle, DE on Thurs., Nov. 7, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Burial will take place at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE on Fri., Nov. 8 at 10:00 am.
