Stella R. (Leonarski) Seery

Age 76, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at her home.

Stella worked for Shop Rite of Stanton Local 152 for 35 years and retired in 1999. She enjoyed crocheting and making baby blankets for all her newborn grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved all types of puzzles. After their retirement Stella and her husband, Buzzy traveled and vacationed to many destinations and spent time every year in Disney World.

Stella was the daughter of the late Albert A. Sr. and Rose (Tafelski) Leonarski. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. "Buzzy" Seery in 2011; her daughter, Gerry Gregg in 2010; and her brother, Albert A. Leonarski, Jr. in 1995. She is survived by her son, Richard Seery and his wife Pat; her daughters, Donna Saunders, and Barbara Russell and her fiancé Dino Mirarchi; 9 grandchildren, Lisa, Stella, Ricky, Stevie, Chris, Joe, Stacy, Jim, and Jeremy; 6 great grandchildren, Alex, Krystin, Allison, Austin, James, and Kaylee; and was awaiting the birth of her 7th great grandson, Shane.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30-11 am. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
