Steven was a 1998 graduate of William Penn High School. While at William Penn, he was a member of the swimming and lacrosse teams. Steven was also awarded the opportunity to study abroad in Germany, where he was able to immerse himself in the rich German culture. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware. Steven also earned has Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware. His work on Medical Devices for long-time employer, Siemens Corp, resulted in numerous patent innovations. He vigorously enjoyed his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and trail hiking.
Steven leaves behind his wife, Lauren Sparks; parents, Paul J. Sr. and Dawn Sparks; his siblings, Debra Lamey (Keith) and Paul J. Jr., and his two nephews, Brendan and Jason.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Steven at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 34 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Thur Dec 3 at 8:00 pm. The viewing will take place at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00pm. Interment will be private.
