Theodora M. "Micki" Smith
Age 36 of Wilmington
Passed away suddenly on Friday, November 18, 2016.
Micki was a graduate of St. Matthew's Grade School and St. Mark's High School. While at school she excelled at both soccer and track. After high school Micki, went on to receive her Associates Degree as a Veterinary Technician. She had a great love for all animals big and small, especially horses and dogs. At one time the Smith family had nine dogs that were all brought home by Micki. She shared her passion for horses by teaching riding lessons and running summer camp programs at Carousel Park. However, Micki's greatest joy was being a devoted and loving mother.
Micki had a big personality and a heart to match. She sparkled in every room with her loud voice and warm smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lily Smith; her parents, Teddie and Bill; her sister, Andie (Keith) Orr; her brother, B.J; her niece and nephew, Ainsley and Benjamin; and her grandmother, Stephanie Pfeil. Micki is also survived by a large extended family including all of her beloved four legged friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Church, 3000 Videre Dr., Wilm., DE 19808, on Monday, November 28 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805 on Sunday, November 27 from 4:00pm -6:00 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to a Memorial Trust Fund for Lily c/o Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home.
