Theresa V. (Donah) Mitchell
Age 60 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully on the morning of December 18, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Theresa was born to the late Gerald and Angeline (Eannone) Donah. She was a 1973 graduate of Del Castle Technical High School. Theresa was a faithful employee of National Dentex for over 20 years, where she worked as a dental technician. Theresa was a proud lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church. Theresa was a very active member of the parish and for many years she participated in several church run programs. Theresa also volunteered her time to St. Elizabeth High School Prom Committee and was a member of the 13th District Democratic Committee since 2006.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Janet Knight and her father-in-law, John L. Mitchell Sr.
Theresa will be dearly missed by her husband, John Larry Mitchell Jr.; her sons, John L. Mitchell III (Tracy) and Brian S. Mitchell (Laurie); and her beloved grandson, Aidan L. Mitchell. She is also survived by her sisters, Loretta Kling and Sharon Evick; and mother-in-law, Eleanor L. Mitchell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 4th and Bancroft Pkwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:00 am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805 on Monday, December 21 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Theresa's name to the
Delaware Valley Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Phila., PA 19106.
