Age 52, of Wilmington, DE, passed peacefully at the Christiana Hospital on April 11, 2009.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was surrounded by his loving family.
Tom's passion for the outdoors included riding his motorcycle and fishing with family and friends. He retired from the DuPont Company as a Planner in the Chemical Industry.
Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years Christine Marando; two sons, Thomas Marando and his wife Brandy Connell-Marando, and Brian Marando and his fiance' Lauren Lloyd; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Anthony, Nicholas, Brianna, Mia, and Angelo. Tom also leaves behind three siblings, Connie Sitzer of Wilmington, Michael Marando of Bear, and Steve Marando of Ohio.
A celebration of his life will take place at the Sheet Metal Workers Hall in Elsmere next to Corpus Christi School on New Road on April 25, 2009 beginning at 1 p.m. on what would have been his 53rd birthday.
