Thomas Peden
Passed away on December 12, 2012 with the love of his life and soul mate, Betty, and his adoring daughters, Tammy Kaiser, Missy Bloom, and Amy Hrycak, by his side.
Tom was born on December 27, 1942 in New Castle, Delaware, in a town which he enjoyed and loved.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; and sisters, Elizabeth, Edith, and Rene. He is survived by his brothers, Bill, Fran, and Richard; and his sister, Dorothy.
Tom was a graduate of St. Peter's High School in 1960. After coming out of the service, he started his career at General Motors where he retired in 2000 with thirty-seven years of service. Tom married his first and only love, Betty, on August 27, 1963. As a young couple, they grew up together and raised their three girls with God as their core for guidance. Tom enjoyed going to church every day, reading the bible, playing cards with his buddies, watching football with his sons-in-law, Chris Kaiser, Danny Bloom, and Tom Hrycak; fishing, and being surrounded by his ten grandchildren Jake, Sarah, and Ellie Kaiser, Danny, Emily, Tommy, and Timmy Bloom, Ben, Sammy, and Missy Hrycak. Tom consistently embodied the values of faith, humility, and integrity in all that he did. He will be terribly missed by his family as his steadfast love and devotion served as a guiding force in their lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 11 am. Friends may call at the church from 9-11 am on Monday morning. Interment in St. Peter R. C. Church Cemetery, New Castle.
