Vincent J. Vari

Passed away on June 30, 2026.

Vinnie loved to cook. He turned his loved into a promising career, working at many local favorites including Stewart's Brewing, Capers and Lemons, Two Stones Pub, The Queen, and Catherine Rooney's.

He graduated from William Penn High. While there he excelled in academics and sports including football and baseball. He was a starting safety for the colonials and was proud to be a varsity baseball starter for three years. His love of baseball started at a young age in Little League and Babe Ruth and continued into adulthood where he played legion ball for the Stahl Post.

Vinnie was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved to cheer on the Raiders every football season.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Veronica "Roni"; his grandparents, Helen Vari and Glenn and Priscilla Moser; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Vinnie will be dearly missed by his parents, Joseph and Drucilla Vari, and his daughter, Brynn Vari.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Monday, Jul 13 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Celebration of life Service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jul 14 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
