Obituary

Passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016.
Virginia was born in Wilmington to the late Frank E. and Charlotte (Konitzer) O'Toole, Jr.

She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing. Upon the completion of her studies she worked as a dedicated nurse for many years. Virginia was employed at a number of different hospitals including, A.I. DuPont Institute, University of Minnesota, and Shiner's Hospital for Children in Minneapolis, MN.

Virginia had a wide variety of interests. She greatly enjoyed tennis and fly fishing as well as skiing and playing bridge with her loved ones. Virginia's favorite pastime however was cooking. She was a member of the Gourmet Club where she was able to hone her culinary skills.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Louis Mumma; sister, Charlotte Nurnberg; and her brother, Frank O'Toole, III.

Virginia will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Mumma; her daughters, Mary Theresa Arseneau, and her husband, Edward, and Cynthia Ann Mumma; her grandchildren, Golden Boardley, Sterling Boardley, and Diamond Boardley. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Gates.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua, 901 N Dupont St, Wilmington, DE 19805 at 10 a.m. on Monday Sept 19. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilm. DE 19805, on Sunday Sept 18 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions to be made to Salesianum School, 801 N Broom St, Wilmington, DE 19802.
