Vivian McKee

Age 81 of Bear

Passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024.

Vivian was born in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Earl and Rhoda (Dawson) Russell.
She was a dedicated employee of Kirkwood Dental for over 15 years and an active
member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, rarely missing a Sunday service. Vivian
loved dancing and doo wop music. She was a self-described "tom boy" but won many
dancing competitions in her youth.

On June 9, 1962 Vivian married the love of her life, James McKee. She passed just
days after what would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary. Vivian's true calling in
life was to be a wife and mother. Vivian took pride in her home and always made
cleaning a happy task. Everything she did was for the betterment of her husband,
children, and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McKee,
and her sister, Pat Hastings.

Vivian will be dearly missed by her children, Jimmy McKee (Vivian) and Kenny McKee
(Judie); her grandchildren, JW McKee, Mandee Spence (John), Emily Esposito (Dom),
and Hannah McKee; and her great grandchildren, Paige and Sophie. She is also
survived by her sister, Sharon Russell; sister-in-law, Linda Pryslak (Mike), and loving
nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service at Krienen-
Griffith Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Monday, Jun 17, 2024
at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am-12:00 noon.
Interment will take place at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
