Walter L. Warren

Died at home on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 @ the age of 96 surrounded by his loving family.

Walt (Dick) worked for the City Fire Dept. for 20 years (1942-1962), and then continued his working career with ICI, Atlas Point for 18 years (1962-1980).

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69-1/2 years Audrey (Deakyne) Warren. Walt is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Barbara W. Frick; grandson, John Michael Frick (Michelle); granddaughter, Kimberly A. Drummond (Paul); great grandson, Thomas John Drummond; great granddaughter, Karma Nicole Drummond; nephew, Everett (Herky) L. Deakyne III (BettyAnn); nieces, Kathleen Brawders, Karen Hickman (David), and Susan Sage (Ken); great nephew, Brian Coffin; great nieces,Olivia Suchasec (Justin), and Julia and Alicia Hickman; great great niece, Maya Suchasec; nephew, Eugene R. Deakyne, Jr. (Joyce); great nephews, Eugene R. Deakyne III (Charlene), and Michael Deakyne; great great nephew, Luke Deakyne; and great great niece, Emily Deakyne.
Our special thanks to his hospice nurse Lisa and his loving aide Tanya.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, on Tuesday, December 27 at 1 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon to 1 pm. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
