Whilda Walker Orchard
Age 93, from Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Berlin, New Jersey died peacefully on January 24, 2012. She was the wife of the late Lewis P. Orchard, Jr. She was predeceased in death by her parents Charles Bray Walker and Whilda Townsend Walker, her three sisters Thelma Walker Heggan, Ellen Walker Newell, Vanira Walker Pierce and brother Charles Oran Walker, daughter Ruth Morrison and son Lewis P. Orchard, 3rd. Whilda is survived by her daughter-in-law Susan Orchard, grandchildren Kelly Morrison, Kris Morrison, Lewis P. Orchard 4th, Elizabeth Orchard, Stephanie Orchard, and great grandchildren Keira Russell, Lewis P. Orchard V and Emily Orchard.
Whilda was an excellent seamstress and cook. She volunteered her sewing skills at The First Presbyterian Church in Haddonfield, NJ to make quilts for children in the hospital. Her family will miss her greatly.
Memorial Service will be held in September.
