Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Willard was born on August 10, 1928 to the late Willard Gibbs Sr. and Mary Virginia Bantum.
Willard faithfully served his country during World War II as a member of the 30th Motor Transport Squadron.
After his service in the United States Army Air Corp, Willard began to study television and radio repair.
He was a quiet, kind hearted, and private person. Willard never spoke an unkind word about another person. Willard enjoyed watching old Westerns, listening to opera and classical music, studying history and classical automobiles.
Willard was preceded in death by his sister, Faith Beverly Cooper.
He will be dearly missed by his nephew, Edward T. Johnson III (Viveca); niece, Valerie Gardner (William); great niece, Ashely Johnson; and great great nephew, Jace Alexander Bugalski. He is also survived by his goddaughter, Gerri Williams, his cousins, Freddie Ann Fountain, Trina Fountain, Darren Fountain; and their children; the Evans, Perkins, and Jefferson families and their children of Lombard Street, the Matthews family, as well as many neighbors and friends.
