William J. Cunningham, III

Passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Christiana Hospital.

Billy was born in Philadelphia, and was the son of Jayne E. (Haslett) and William J. Cunningham, Jr. He graduated from Wilmington High School and Johnson & Wales College in Providence, RI.

He worked as a seafood manager at Pathmark and was a part-time caterer. He enjoyed building model sets for trains, and he thought it was more fun to build sets than to play with them. He was a great shopper on Ebay, and once had an article about his skills published in the News Journal. He was an avid golfer and baseball player, and he loved watching the Eagles.

Billy is survived by his son, Alexander William Cunningham; his parents, Jayne and Bill Cunningham; his sister, Colleen Bellman, and her husband, Tony; his nephews, Travis and AJ Bellman; his aunts, Virginia Haslett and Barbara Webb; his uncle, Arthur Haslett; and various cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Service on Friday, October 30, at 12 noon at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 to noon. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
