William R. Gray, Sr.
Age 76, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Heartland Hospice.
Bill was a 1952 graduate of the A. I. DuPont High School. He retired from the DuPont Co. Record Management Department with over 30 years of service.
Bill loved being at the beach and spending time there with his family. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and engines.
He was the son of the late Layton E. and Jennie (Hemphill) Gray, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Thelma Jane Carlson Gray in 2008. He is survived by his children, Debbie Ciociola and her husband Michael, William R. Gray Jr., Linda Gray, Cindy Venturena and her husband Bob, Kathleen Walz, and Lynn Meloni and her husband Brian; his sister, Jane Thompson and her husband Bob; 11 beloved grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.; and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Wednesday morning, November 17th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment in the All Saints Cemetery, Newark.
