Obituary

William passed away suddenly on February 5, 2016 at his home in Newark.

He was born on July 27, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to William T. and Mable S. Sillman.

William was an Army veteran, who retired after 20 years of service. He went on to work and retire from Christina School District, where he was a Bus Aide for special needs children. In his younger years, William was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. He was one of the founding members of the Order of Arrows, Narragansett Indian Dance Team. He is also a past member of the Moose Lodge of the VFW.

He is survived by his brother, Mark (Sunde) Sillman; his sisters, Elizabeth (Wyatt) Hammond, Lynda (William) Shipe; and his close friends, Joyce Careagena and Steven Breslin.

A visitation will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Saturday, February 20, from 12:00 noon to 2:00. Burial will be private.
